Located on the lands of the Bidiagal Clan of the Dharawal Nation (Randwick, NSW), Black Dog Institute is the only Medical Research Institute in Australia to investigate mental health across the lifespan, our aim is to create a mentally healthier world for everyone. For the past 20 years, we have been at the forefront of mental health research. Leveraging our relationships with stakeholders and donors, we join the dots by connecting research answers expert knowledge, and the voices of lived experience to deliver solutions that impact and boost the health care system for patients and practitioners alike.

The Role
The Danny Frawley Centre was acquired by Black Dog Institute in 2025. Established in 2022, its mission is to continue Danny’s legacy by creating a welcoming space where people can access tools, support, and a strong community to help navigate life’s challenges and Play Life Better.
The Project & Content Specialist supports the delivery of content, marketing activity, and project coordination for the Danny Frawley community. This role contributes to DFC initiatives through content creation, digital and social media delivery, event coordination, and project support, ensuring activities are delivered clearly, consistently, and in a timely manner.
This is a hands-on role that works collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to support programs, campaigns, and key initiatives.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver content across digital channels, including social media, website and eDMs
- Support marketing campaigns, programs and events (including Spud’s Game)
- Coordinate project tasks, timelines and deliverables to support smooth execution
- Manage day-to-day social media activity and assist with digital campaigns
- Prepare presentations, briefing materials and content assets
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver aligned outcomes
- Monitor campaign performance and support continuous improvement
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience in marketing, communications or content delivery
- Strong writing and content creation skills across digital platforms
- Ability to manage priorities and work collaboratively in a team environment
- Well organised, with attention to detail
- Interested in contributing to mental health and community-focused work
